Myke Rock wears a lot of hats. He came to prominence as a member of one of the first punk rock bands in Columbus in the late 70's early 80's and later as a gateway to getting Ohioans on the trashy daytime talk-show circuit; but he's always been more interested in local bands than Jerry Springer. He is currently doing a solo set on bass in the MultiFestival Showcase Series. Rock founded the statewide series two years ago and has played in 96 of the events. See what they're saying below. Visit the link for a full bio.
He writes songs about his love for the female foot and where scum comes from and visits strawberry fields in a bizarro world of bass guitar and vocal.

Seeing a solo set by Myke Rock, who accompanied himself on bass, was the surprise of the fest for me. I was impressed. His set closer, the Beatles "Strawberry Fields Forever", was TERRIFIC! Correctly played parts and all!
~John Petric, The Other Paper, Columbus (Comfest 2004)
I was lucky enough to have caught the MultiFest gig at Fats Billiards a few months ago as I was reminded my friends in The Bogtrodders were also playing. I saw Myke Rock play his set along with a few Beatles tunes on bass and I was Blown away! I'm a huge Beatles fan and also a bass player, what a treat!
~DJ Pug
I was stunned to hear Fender bass and a soulful voice singing a song about where scum comes from. Like a deer caught in headlights, I severely dug his set. I was absolutely amazed. ~I.D. FLUX, Internet
