RiaSoul is influenced by Dylan, Janis Joplin, Dave Mathews Band and many other soulful artists. RiaSoul or Andrea Velasco Deasy is a singer/songwriter born in Anchorage, Alaska of Colombian immigrants. In the Colombian culture music plays a central role as she was influenced early on by her grandfather who played concert classical guitar. At first, playing with friends in college dorm rooms, then open stages at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, then a move to Columbus, brought her on the open mic scene as she has been playing at local venues coordinated by MultiFestival. Her first CD is entitled A Few Words and is available wherever she performs and at www.riasoul.com.

He's been very busy lately with his brand new music store "Bob's Guitar Shack" and his new recording studio. But he still finds time to kick your ass! A phenomenal finger-pickin' one-man blues extravaganza, Bob Sauls, with the authenticity of a Delta front porch legend, gives a sonic presentation of Blues, Rockin' Blues and much more!
Simply known as "Lyle", he makes his MultiFestival debut, bringing some flavour only represented by Lyle's individualism. A subtle darkness, a turn of a phrase and the grey strokes on his guitar combine with other not-so-easily definable elements, presenting one seemingly fleeting anomoly after another. But when you see him again, you'll find the story never ends, but continues with twists and turns one never foresees.

Myke Rock wears a lot of hats. He came to prominence as a member of one of the first punk rock bands in Columbus in the late 70's early 80's and later as a gateway to getting Ohioans on the trashy daytime talk-show circuit; but he's always been more interested in local bands than Jerry Springer. He is currently doing a solo set on bass in the MultiFestival Showcase Series. Rock founded the statewide series two years ago and has played in 96 of the events. See what they're saying below. Visit the link for a full bio.
He writes songs about his love for the female foot and where scum comes from and visits strawberry fields in a bizarro world of bass guitar and vocal.

Seeing a solo set by Myke Rock, who accompanied himself on bass, was the surprise of the fest for me. I was impressed. His set closer, the Beatles "Strawberry Fields Forever", was TERRIFIC! Correctly played parts and all!
~John Petric, The Other Paper, Columbus (Comfest 2004)
I was lucky enough to have caught the MultiFest gig at Fats Billiards a few months ago as I was reminded my friends in The Bogtrodders were also playing. I saw Myke Rock play his set along with a few Beatles tunes on bass and I was Blown away! I'm a huge Beatles fan and also a bass player, what a treat!
~DJ Pug
I was stunned to hear Fender bass and a soulful voice singing a song about where scum comes from. Like a deer caught in headlights, I severely dug his set. I was absolutely amazed. ~I.D. FLUX, Internet

Grandview native Leo Clarke's songs tell really good stories...an original, emotionally compelling mix of acoustic, bluesy, folksy Americana Roots Rock. Clarke frames his songs with sharp pick-and-strum craft.Clarke's CD is a sweet, sweet piece of work -a true solo work- awash in a backporch sensibility that's perfect at coffee cup time or suds bottle time.
