Peace Time Riot in Kent 4-21, 5-4 "FREE MP3S!!!"

Columbus, Ohio trio Peace Time Riot brings their peace-through-music-and-activism, rock-n-roll show to Club Khameleon (626 N. Water St., Kent, 330-673-6606) on Saturday, April 21st at 9:00pm. Admission is $5.00, $7.00 under 21. The performance is in support of their CD titled Music For Brains & Bodies (PTR Group), a nice mix of rock, reggae, ska, pop, indie and more. The 11 track CD will be available at the show for $10, normally a $12 to $15 disc. Lead by flag-for-a-skirt wearing Myke Rock (he calls it an AmeriKilt), Peace Time Riot (Myke Rock - Bass & Vox, Michael Ravage - Guitar & Vox and The General Drums & Vox) makes their free signature handouts available at the event. The Peace Time Riot handouts cover current news and information on how to get involved with the anti-war movement, including joining the band on myspace (www.myspace.com/mykerockmusic) and signing up for email at www.multifestival.com. They also contain in-depth information on joining, and the workings of, the Peace Kore, Peace Time Riot's activist wing. But it's not all political. The band's music transcends public politics and bleeds through to the personal, the ironies between the 2, devisive opinions within one person (the war within yourself), relationships, just plain having a good time and much more. Joining Peace Time Riot on the bill are Aviatik, Spin and Jahman Brahman!

Peace Time Riot will perform at the Kent State Day Music & Awareness Festival at Europe Gyro (107 S. Depeyster St., Kent, 330-678-4976) at 8:00pm on Friday, May 4th. This free event will also feature other bands and speakers to be announced! Stay tuned for further developements!
