Dayton's Ohio Pie Factory is one of Ohio's best jam bands. They bring a flavor, though, exclusively their own because of the vast and fresh musicianship of this particular group. Listen to their music at their myspace site and go see them live. We're absolutely sure, you'll agree!

Bassist Myke Rock founded Peace Time Riot in late 2006 to put his unique, solo-style electric bass chording to the tune of a rock trio consisting of bass, drums and guitar. As a descriptive term, rock trio doesn't really describe the band as a whole or in a nutshell. Heck, just throw the whole nutshell away. It's just a lot easier than saying Peace Time Riot is an indie, modern rock band that plays reggae, rock, ska, and much more, with a punk-reminiscent energy whose prolific lifeblood flows through the vociferous veins of variety. Rock, after a search, emerged with Newark's ambitious The General and former bandmate, guitarist Michael Ravage. Ravage founded early Columbus, Ohio punk band Screaming Urge in 1978 and Rock joined the band in 1979. The General, whose veteran and viable approach to drumming has earned him high marks, brings a healthy work ethic and downright strong talent to the band. Rock considers The General to be an incredible find and Ravage remains the rare, six-string bird that can meet the demands of Peace Time Riot's lofty quests.

Myke Rock is unique even among Solo Bass & Vocalists. His material covers many forms and mutations of rock, R&B and more, from the heavy, odd and off-kilter to the delicate, sensitive and humorous. Although his riveting versions of Strawberry Fields Forever and The Wind Cries Mary continue to receive high acclaim, his writings and performances have a heart and soul rooted in song-craft, and drenched in the many flavors of Myke Rock.

Alyson Greenfield has been composing contemporary classical pieces on the piano since the age of eleven.
At twelve she began singing lyrics over top of her instrumentation, which tackled issues of family strife and the vast and overwhelming meaning of time.
At fourteen she picked up the guitar and it was apparent that as much as she could write a graceful piano tune, she could also confidently strum the strings with rock and roll fervor.
Presently she is writing lyrics and composing music for a full-length musical, and has just finished touring with NY-based bands Bacci and the WMDs.
Additional credits include co-writing the screenplay for Sitting on Fire, a short film based on her original short story, which was selected to show in several national film festivals-- among them the 2004 California Independent Film Festival and the 2003 Philadelphia Documentary and Fiction Festival, where it won Special Prize for Best Short Film.
She has most recently been seen on screen acting in Splitpillow's The Alpha Project, Thomas Lisa's "White Hot Dork Funk" music video, and ZWAN's music video, "Lyric."
Her current home base is Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she is an M.F.A. candidate in creative writing, as well as, adding much flavor to the Alabama music scene.

"Dayton, Ohio's Drexel is truly one of a kind. Tom Waits is the most reasonable touchstone, but there's a severity to their whimsical flamboyance that makes Waits seem almost mundane in comparison. "Monolithic Beast" starts out as a soulful lounge ballad in deep space, but eventually transforms into something roughly akin to lo-fi show tune. The band is an acquired taste, but totally worth the effort.
